Our Dementia community offers support for those who are living with a diagnosis of Dementia or Alzheimer’s and features several dedicated dementia care areas. These include areas that are dedicated to Reminiscence, Sensory and Health and Wellbeing activities which stimulate and promote self-esteem and a sense of purpose. Creating an environment that enables Residents to live well whilst offering support to family members.

The dedicated teams at Folkestone Care Centre are specially trained and experienced in supporting people living with dementia. Our aim is to provide the caring and supportive environment that your loved one needs to carry on living as fulfilling a life as possible – whatever their unique care needs are.
We understand the journey that people living with dementia and their families go through, so we invest in our supportive team and quality environment to provide the best care possible.
Everything about this care home is first class. My mother moved onto the dementia suite from another care home earlier this year as her condition deteriorated, and we have been so delighted as a family at how well she has settled in. This is entirely due to the staff who are so knowledgeable, understanding and caring. We are so grateful for all they do for my mother.

Our care home provides a vibrant atmosphere designed to help residents get the most out of life, and we’re here to support them every step of the way. It’s for that reason that our facilities and activities are so important to residents. Whether your loved one would like to take part in activities like tending to the herbs in the garden, enjoying indoor bowls, or simply enjoys a visit to the hair salon, our team is there to help them get the most out of every day.
We believe in utilising various proven methodologies including the Montessori approach for frailty and Dementia. Montessori focuses on what people CAN do rather than what they cannot do.
Folkestone Care Centre probably doesn’t match up to your traditional image of a care home – thanks to our facilities like our social lounges and garden, and the support of our care teams, residents still feel connected to everyday life and the people around them.
