Our Dementia community offers support for those who are living with a diagnosis of Dementia or Alzheimer’s and features several dedicated dementia care areas. These include areas that are dedicated to Reminiscence, Sensory and Health and Wellbeing activities which stimulate and promote self-esteem and a sense of purpose. Creating an environment that enables Residents to live well whilst offering support to family members.
Palliative Care
Providing emotional/psychological, social and physical support for residents who no longer require medical treatment but for who it is important to remain pain free and comfortable.
Offering a personal experience for individuals who would wish to remain living as independently as possible, whilst having access to a tailored care plan, created by Healthcare professionals. Providing individual support and assistance with daily activities promoting independence and social engagement within an elegant, high quality, supportive environment.
Respite Care
Allowing carers to take a short break whilst the resident is looked after in a safe and comfortable environment. Sometimes helpful when deciding on longer term suitability (subject to availability)
Long Term Nursing Care
For individuals who need regular medical attention or specific care delivered by a registered nurse. Long term care ensures residents are looked after 24 hours a day by medical professionals, who respond to their changing needs in a safe and homely environment.
Providing that extra support following a period of illness or hospitalisation. Dignity, comfort and security for residents and their families is fully respected.
Folkestone Care Centre has been privately commissioned, built and managed by medical professionals who understand the changing needs and personal care of the elderly. Professional, experienced and highly qualified staff are available 24 hours a day ensuring peace of mind for both residents and their families. High ratios of staff to residents and a programme of continuous training and development for all staff ensure all opportunities to help residents gain the support they need.
Regular appointments are arranged for specialist services, such as ophthalmology, audiology and chiropody either as on-site appointments or accompanied visit. Most importantly the ethos throughout the home is one of professionalism. Loving care, kindness and warmth are evident everywhere and to all who visit.
