VISITING DURING COVID-19 AND SEASONAL FLU OUTBREAKS

Supporting Safe Visits

We are pleased to be fully open for family and friends to visit and currently there is no need for pre-booked appointments, testing or mask wearing.

We maintain a robust infection prevention and management plan for the safety and wellbeing of new residents, existing residents, relatives and colleagues. This ensures we are doing everything possible to prevent the spread of infection in our homes.

We always operate in line with government guidance regarding infectious diseases such as Covid19 or flu and we take this responsibility very seriously.  As such, our infection control measures are in line with those of the Government and Public Health England.

We continue to follow the measures listed below:

  • Wearing PPE when necessary
  • Ongoing temperature checking; residents routinely have temperature checks daily and all visitors have a temperature check on arrival
  • Vaccinating residents and team members
  • Encouraging visitors to be fully vaccinated against Covid19 (as well as seasonal flu)
  • Ventilating visiting spaces
  • Thorough handwashing
  • Enhanced cleaning of the home
  • Ensuring safe and detailed admission protocols for new residents
  • COVID-19 training
  • Mask-wearing is currently discretionary

All visitors will have their temperature taken and will need to sign a Declaration and Consent Form prior to each visit. Visitors will not be admitted if displaying any symptoms, or if a member of their household is displaying any symptoms of Covid-19, flu or norovirus.

We are here to help you, so please let us know if you have any concerns.
