Choosing a care home

Choosing a care home for yourself or your loved one may seem to be a challenge. Here are some helpful tips and advice to get you started.

Peace of Mind

You or your loved one may understandably feel nervous about moving into a care home, this need not be the case. Care homes have changed so much, and at Folkestone Care Centre you will find a beautiful welcoming and friendly environment. Choosing a good home has many benefits; companionship and stimulation, twenty-four-hour medical care, nutritious food and personal safety will all be taken care of. This is a chance for you or your loved one to get the care needed, freeing up the family to enjoy quality time together.

Visit us

Join in our regular coffee mornings and activities where you and your family can get to know the staff and facilities at first hand. Perhaps come for a Day Care visit or enjoy a longer respite stay – anything from a couple of days to a couple of months over the winter or when family are away. Go at your own pace and do what makes you feel comfortable, reassured and happy.

Tailor made for you

If you decide that long term care is the best option, one of our qualified nurses will do a pre-assessment to create a tailor-made health care package to support all your needs. The pre-assessment helps us to get to know you, not just your healthcare needs but your interests, hobbies and family, so that everything is ready the day you move in.

Friends and family

Remember that our home is your home.  You can welcome your visitors in for celebrations and family gatherings, pets can even visit too.
